5Card Printer Maintenance and Cleaning

7. Click Tools…

8. Click Properties.

9. Remove the ribbon and any cards from the

printer.

Note: When removing the ribbon, take it out and place it in front

of the printer exactly as it was in the printer. This will make it

easier to replace.

10. Open the cleaning card package.

11. Click the

button.

12. Insert the cleaning card into the card feeder.

This will clean out the printer and send the

cleaning card out normally like the cards.

13. If there is still a blinking orange light on

the printer, send the cleaning card through

again until the light stops blinking after the

card has been sent through.

14. Place the ribbon back in the printer.

9 Clean the printer ever 500 cards (print out computer test card for accurate count).

9 Replace the roller every time the ribbon is replaced.

9 If you change ribbons (from color to black and white or vise versa), please call ImproMed, LLC.

for some Printer Setup changes that will need to be made.

9 Cleaning cards should only be used once.

Cleaning Card Instructions

1. Go to the computer where the Card Printer is physically connected.

2. Log on to Windows as Administrator.

3. Click on Start | Settings | Printers and Faxes or Start | Printers and Faxes.

4. Right-click the Eltron Card Printer.

5. Left-click Properties.

6. Click the Device Settings tab.
